Best Use of Audio/Video
This award saw our first winner from outside the UK - VNR, Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft AG, for
their VNR.de Advent Calendar campaign.
Background: The campaign involved launching an advent calendar campaign which included a video contest, and customers were encouraged to submit a short video containing advice or a story on 'time' - saving time, managing time, Christmas time etc. The best 24 videos were selected by a jury and published in a daily email advent calendar.
The judges said:
- The winning entry demonstrated effectiveness in soliciting video entries from customers. This encouraged a creative competition of very high standards
- Not only was it a creative idea - well-executed - but the metrics show it was a profitable campaign, generating nearly 15,000 Euros at a healthy ROI.
- The winning video became one of the top 40 most-watched on YouTube Germany
